Wallace got knocked out cold, due to some crazy adventures involving a giant rabbit villain, threatening to destroy the local “Giant Vegetable Competition”.

Being an avid cheese lover, unconscious Wallace was able to be revived by the smell of “Stinking Bishop” cheese.   Yes, cheese saved our hero!

Yes, Cheese saved our hero!

One could assume that Stinking Bishop, being a washed rind cheese,  might get its name from its malodorous odour.  But no…

Stinking Bishop cheese, gets its name because it’s been washed in the “Stinking Bishop Perry”, which has been made from the “Stinking Bishop” variety of Pears.

Stinking Bishop pears, were first cultivated by a Farmer, Percy Bishop who had a stinking bad temperament.   Story has it that Bishop got angry at his kettle one day for not heating fast enough and in retaliation shot it.    Well deserved nickname, I suppose.
